The client needed a 450 sq. ft. Accessory Dwelling Unit for home office and wheelchair-accessible full kitchen and bathroom.

Universal Design was incorporated throughout the entire structure to allow wheelchair accessibility to kitchen work areas, cabinets and appliances. A curbless shower with Universal Design fixtures and wheelchair accessible vanity were designed for bathroom. It was important to make the hardscape and entry to the ADU easily wheelchair accessible from the main house.
